Work on Phase 1 of the Pyramid Highway Project will resume this Sunday night, April 13, at 8 p.m. The project has been in winter suspension since January 13, 2025 as the remaining work requires consistently warmer nighttime temperatures. The project is on schedule to be complete this summer.

Starting Sunday, April 13, drivers can expect the following for traffic control through the work zone (between Shoppers Way and Golden View Drive):

  • Pyramid Highway reduced to one lane each direction nightly (8 p.m. - 5 a.m.) Sunday evening through Friday mornings

  • Periodic nighttime closures of Golden View Drive at Pyramid Highway

  • Heavy construction activity, including trucks entering and exiting the work zone, during the day and night

  • Reduced speed of 45 MPH in the work zone

Working hours include days and nights: Daytime is Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nighttime hours are Sunday-Friday 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

What is the remaining work?

All remaining work is located between Los Altos Parkway and Golden View Drive. Crews will be lowering utilities, milling and repaving the highway, enhancing the Golden View intersection with new islands, sidewalk, and signals, installing medians, completing soundwall painting, installing decorative image panels to walls, installing all new signage, and striping.

All work is weather and temperature permitting.
