Major Project Milestone Reached and Shoppers Way Reopened



Project Milestone Reached: Construction is 50% Complete

The project celebrates a major milestone this week as construction reaches 50% completion! The project broke ground in May 2023 and is currently on schedule.


Major project construction completed thus far includes:

  • Approximately 225,000 cubic yards of earth removed to make way for highway widening

  • Approximately 1.5 miles of new storm drain installed. Drainage work is currently 80% complete

  • The majority of the shared-use path is complete between Queen Way and Los Altos Parkway. Note: the path is still under construction and closed to the public at this time

  • Barrier rail installed between Queen Way and Los Altos Parkway

  • Walmart access of the Los Altos Parkway intersection has been reconstructed

  • Shoppers Way reconstruction is complete

Shoppers Way Reopened

Crews have completed the reconstruction of Shoppers Way at Pyramid Highway and the shopping center access is now reopened for public use. Drivers using Shoppers Way can expect a similar traffic flow for the access as before, with a right-turn in and right-turn out.



 

COMING SOON: Paving Northbound Pyramid Highway Starts April 28

Milling and paving of the northbound lanes of Pyramid Highway between Queen Way and Los Altos Parkway will begin the night of Sunday, April 28.


Nighttime drainage work will also take place near Golden View Drive beginning Sunday, April 28.


Traffic will be reduced to a single-lane nightly through the entire work zone, between Queen Way and Golden View Drive, through Monday, May 6 when paving is expected to be complete.
