Beginning Sunday, April 7 at 8 p.m. major changes to the Los Altos Parkway Walmart access will occur. Crews will reconstruct the access one half at a time to realign the intersection with the newly-widened highway. This work will be completed in two phases, with operations and traffic control happening 24-hours through Friday, April 12. Shopping access will remain available to the Walmart shopping center, with the following lane shifts.
Phase 1: South Side
South side of access closed; all traffic will be shifted to north side
Traffic entering shopping center will use the free right turn lane from southbound Pyramid, the through lane from Los Altos Parkway, or the open left turn lane from northbound Pyramid
Traffic exiting shopping center will use the through lane to go across Los Altos Parkway or turn left for northbound Pyramid; southbound traffic will use the secondary free right-out from Kohl's
Truck traffic will detour Los Altos Parkway to Sparks Boulevard
Pedestrian access remains available, please follow detour signs for safety
Phase 2: North Side
North side of access closed; all traffic shifted to the newly-paved south side
Traffic entering shopping center will use the secondary free right-in for Kohl's, the through lane from Los Altos Parkway, or the open left turn lane from northbound Pyramid
Traffic exiting shopping center will use the through lane to go across Los Altos Parkway or turn left for northbound Pyramid; southbound traffic will use the free right-out from Los Altos Parkway
